Terms of service
Last updated 9 October 2026
Lori Tales lets parents and legal guardians create illustrated stories, poems, games and lessons for their children using artificial intelligence. By creating an account you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our refund policy.
Who can use the service
- You must be 18 or older and a parent or legal guardian of any child you add.
- Children do not have their own accounts. They use Lori Tales on your account, under your supervision, and you are responsible for everything done on it. Kids mode, its PIN and screen-time limits help, but they don't replace a grown-up keeping an eye on things.
- Keep your password and kids-mode PIN to yourself.
Plans, credits and payments
- Stories cost credits. The price is shown before you create anything, and the default is one credit per illustrated page.
- Monthly plans include credits that reset at each renewal and do not roll over. Top-up credits, and free credits from sign-up, invites or ads, do not expire while your account is open.
- Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.
- International payments are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record, and Paddle's buyer terms also apply to those purchases. Payments in Pakistan are handled by Safepay.
- Plans bought through Paddle renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and the plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Plans bought through Safepay are prepaid for one period and don't renew by themselves; we email you before one ends.
- We may change prices. A change never affects a period you've already paid for.
Gifts, invites and free credits
- Gift codes can be used once each and are valid for two years from purchase unless the code says otherwise.
- Invite rewards are given once both families qualify. Creating extra accounts, or otherwise gaming invites, rewarded ads or other free credits, may lead us to remove those credits or close the accounts involved.
Printed books
Printed book orders are an estimate until we confirm them with you. We arrange payment and delivery directly with you, and nothing is charged when you place the order.
Acceptable use
- Story ideas must be suitable for children. We automatically check ideas, stories and pictures, and may refuse or remove content that is unsafe or breaks these terms.
- Only upload photos of children you are the parent or legal guardian of.
- Don't try to break, overload, scrape or get around the limits of the service, and don't use it to make content that is unlawful, hateful or infringes anyone's rights.
Your content and sharing
- You may use stories you create for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as reading them with your family, printing them and giving them as gifts. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you.
- If you turn on a share link, anyone who has the link can read that story until you turn the link off. Please think about who you send it to.
- Stories and pictures are made by AI and can contain mistakes or odd details. Please read a story before sharing it with your child.
The service
We work hard to keep Lori Tales running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or retire features. If a story fails to generate, its credits are refunded automatically.
Liability
As far as the law allows, Lori Tales is provided "as is", and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we close your account without a good reason, we will refund unused paid credits.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you before it takes effect. Questions? Write to us at support@loritales.com.
